Many actors are recognized and praised for their work in movies, their philanthropic charities, or simply because of their charming good looks. But not many people know or appreciate that among the Hollywood A-Listers are some of the world’s smartest human beings. In addition to being rich and famous, certain celebrities can add Harvard, Yale, and MENSA to their already impressive resumes.
He’s an actor, comedian, producer, playwright, composer, musician, author… oh, and he’s also genius. Rumored to be a member of MENSA (exclusive society for those in the top %2 of intelligence), Martin literally does it all. He’s known for his quirky, comedic acting style; but he should also be recognized for his way above average intelligence.

This Academy Award winning actress is known for her roles in cult classics such as Beetlejuice, A League Of Their Own and Thelma and Louise- to name a few. What many people don’t know is that she is a registered member of MENSA, fluent in Swedish, plays the flute, organ and piano, a woman’s Olympic’s archery team semi-finalist (look out, Katniss), and graduated from Boston University with a degree in Drama.

Beauty and brains, Natalie Portman has this in spades. Even though she’s not a member of MENSA, she still graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Psychology. With an Academy Award, along with other awards to her name, Portman can add genius to her list of credible accomplishments.
Plus, she can rap!
James Woods originally wanted to be an eye surgeon, continuing his education at the prestigious MIT. Although he dropped out to pursue his career in acting instead, Woods is still among the smartest, with a reported IQ of 180 (anything over 130 is considered genius). In addition to having a ridiculously high IQ, James Woods scored a 1580 on his SATs (1600 is the highest score).

Jodi Foster’s is one of Hollywood’s most talented actors. She has won 2 Oscar’s and has been involved in some of the greatest movies of all time. Having been a part of movies like Silence Of The Lambs, Nell, and Taxi Driver, not many will believe she is also graduated from Yale University, Magnum Cum Laude.

To further prove our point that Hollywood is filled with intelligent and talented actors, here are more smart A-Listers:
- Meryl Streep (Yale University graduate)
- Quentin Tarantino (MENSA member)
- Nolan Gould, 13 year’s old (MENSA member)
- Myles Jeffrey (tested IQ in the 99th percentile, certified genius)
- Masi Oka (IQ of 189)
So who says that the only thing actors can do is sing, dance and/or act?
I guess “Triple Threat” now includes certified genius.
