Do We Know Anything Yet?
Not much beyond the cast, which alone could sell this upcoming comedy movie. Plot details are scarce, but for a good reason. Movie 43 is not one story, but rather a series of shorts. It has no overarching plot, and no main star, but rather an ensemble cast performing a series of humorous (and sometimes risque) skits. While there are plenty of movies these days with no plot, this one does it by design, and fans of the 1970s classic The Kentucky Fried Movie are already getting excited.

The classic that brought us Catholic Schoolgirls In Trouble and A Fistful of Yen.
Who’s In It?
There are plenty of reasons to get excited. For one, Kristin Bell, who is best known for her leading role in Veronica Mars. While Miss Bell is my favorite in the movie, she’s only one of a large number of excellent actors. Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Terrence Howard, Emma Stone, Halle Berry, Chris Pratt, Anna Faris, Jason Sudeikis, Justin Long, Gerard Butler, Josh Duhamel and many, many more all make an appearance.
Also, judging from the cast list and the roles they play, this movie will strongly appeal to geek culture, with characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and a whole host of comic book favorites on the list to be parodied. What with the recent rise in comic book movies, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

Except for Hermione. She was caught completely off guard by this news.
Not for the Kids!
Any other details about the movie are pretty slim. It took over four years to film in order to work around everyone’s schedules, so clearly it’s a labor of love. Judging from the recent red band trailer however, it’s going to be kind of raw. They’re not holding anything back in it, and for a good laugh, check it out. Be warned: it’s rated R for a very good reason.
Movie 43 is coming out January 25th.
